Heatwole Golf Design Develops Master Plan Study for Penn State

January 6, 2010

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - Penn State University enlists Heatwole Golf Design to develop a long-term master plan study for its golf facilities.  The scope of the master plan is to be an all-encompassing study of the university’s two golf courses, the existing facilities, current/future needs, and the outside factors/influences on golf at Penn State.

Heatwole Golf Design will explore a wide range of possibilities related to the golf courses’ future.  The process will include meetings with the golf related academic programs, the athletic department as well as other university departments which have involvement at the courses.  Also included will be a comprehensive study of the existing facilities.

The process will conclude with a presentation detailing the findings of the study and the recommendations for implementation of the Master Plan.  Armed with this, Penn State can determine long-range plans for the golf facilities and can be implemented into the University’s overall master plan of suggested improvements.
